Acclaimed young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the firm commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was made after an investigation into allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable towards young women.
The publisher did not confirm the reasons for its decision, stating: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, having sold over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released more than 40 books combined, including a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
